Each team is shown in its expected formation — the shape that describes how the ten outfield players line up in front of the goalkeeper. A 4-3-3 means four defenders, three midfielders and three forwards; a 4-2-3-1 packs two holding midfielders behind three attackers and a lone striker. The formation tells you a lot about a team's intent: where it wants to control the game and how many players it commits forward.

Outfield players are rated for Threat, Craft, Defence and Big-game temperament; goalkeepers for Shot-stopping, Command of the box, Distribution and big-game nerve.
Probable lineups only become reliable close to kick-off — a manager's final XI often isn't clear until the day before a game, and a late injury or tactical switch can change it again. Where a starter isn't yet confirmed by reliable reporting, we leave the slot marked TBC rather than guess. Those slots fill in as each team's match approaches, so a side playing tomorrow will be more complete than one whose next game is a week away.
